Ashton’s practise focuses on corporate and securities law, with particular emphasis on advising public and private companies on securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, securities law compliance for TSX, TSXV or NEO listed issuers, disclosure obligations, corporate governance, and general corporate and commercial matters. Ashton has experience advising public and private clients in exempt market financings, prospectus offerings, private equity and venture capital financings, debt financings, acquisitions and dispositions of shares and assets, Capital Pool Company qualifying transactions, and banking matters.
Ashton provides practical legal advice to a diverse group of clients, from start-ups to listed issuers, through all stages of growth from incorporation and capital financing through to initial public offerings, acquisitions and dispositions. As an advisor for his clients, Ashton provides clear guidance, pragmatic advice and actionable solutions in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Outside of work, Ashton enjoys spending time in the Rocky Mountains back country camping, hiking, skiing and snowboarding.
